Dr Upendra is a spine surgeon at Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain hospital, where he is working as a consultant spine surgeon and head of academics and research in the department of spine surgery, since august 2011

He completed his medical school at the prestigious Bangalore medical college (Bangalore University, India) and then did his ms in orthopaedics at the all India institute of medical sciences (AIIMS New Delhi), specialising in the field of spine surgery. He also has fellowships from France, Finland and japan in spine surgery and has close to 20 yrs of experience.
